13 Day Tour From Fes To Casablanca Via Sahara Desert :

Day 1 : Arrive to Fes airport.

Meet you in the airport and then drive to your hotel, afterwards you will have free time to explore Fes and get a romantic dinner in the old city.

Day 2 : Fes \  Meknes \ Volubilis \ Fes.

After breakfast we will take a day tour from Fes to Meknes City including El Hedim Square, Bab El Mansour, the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter, and the city rampart. We will then depart for Volubilis, the Roman ruins and Moulay Idriss: the holy town and an important place of pilgrimage where the founder of Morocco’s first dynasty is buried. Then we will continue onto Fes. Dinner and accommodation at a traditional Moroccan Riad.

3 Day : Just In Fes.

After breakfast in your Riad, you will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our journey starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, and the first Mellah ever built in Morocco (built during the 16th century.) We will ensure that you visit all sites with significant cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Karaouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, we go to visit the Hispano-Moorish buildings, the Medersas, and Nejjarine. We will visit the cooperative where they make ties, and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole medina of Fes.

Day 4 : Fez \ Ifran \ Azrou \ Midelt \ Ziz Valley \ Erfoud \ Merzouga Dunes.

We’ll be up Early for breakfast. Then we will departure to Merzouga through Ifrane: the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco, and see the cedar forests of Azrou where we can stop to hand feed the monkeys. Then we will continue to Midelt, and stop there for lunch. From there we’ll head to Erfoud along the Ziz Valley, through a series of fortified villages with ancient architecture, located in the pre-Saharan oases. After we’ll arrive at the dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi), with accommodation at the Kasbah.

Day 5 : Sahara Desert Exploration 4×4 & Camel Trek For Sunset.

After breakfast in the hotel, we will drive along the fabulous landscapes on the edge of the Erg Chebbi, and over the largest sand dunes in Morocco. We will see plenty of nomadic tents in the middle of nowhere. We shall stop by a nomadic family to have tea with them and experience what a nomadic life looks like. After the mines of the Mifiss and the desert plateau we go on our drive to discover the nomadic life of Touareg people by visiting Alkhamliya, a village where nothing has been changed for centuries. Either we can have lunch here in Alkhamliya village or go back to our hotel and have lunch there. After a nap we’ll go on a camel ride to see one of the most fascinating sights ever seen, the breathtaking sunset in the middle of the high sand dunes of Merzouga. Then we stay in the Berber tented desert camp and enjoy a wonderful starry view.

Day 6 : Merzouga \ Toudgha Gorges \ Dades Valley.

The camel man will wake us up early in the morning to watch what may well be the best sunrise of your life. Afterwards, you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to your hotel appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes, shifting with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and a shower, you’ll leave for Tinghir and Todra Gorges: the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Finally arriving at Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation in hotel.

Day 7 : Dades Valley \ Rose Valley \ Ouarzazate.

After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs, providing numerous opportunities to take some of your best photos of the trip. Today you will have the opportunity to meet Berber Nomads in their caves and then you will enjoy the lush Rose Valley and the rock formations along the way. We’ll stop at Kalaat M’gouna, the “Rose City,” where you can purchase rosewater, which will make your linen smell good for a long time after your trip is over. Continuing on to Skoura and the Birds Valley, we’ll visit the Kasbah Amridil, and after Continue to Ouarzazate.

Day 8 : Ouarzazate \ Ait Ben Haddou \ Ouarzazate \ Telouet \ Marrakech.

Start the day by visiting the town of Ouarzazate. Founded in 1928, it became a very famous film center, where many movies such as Babel, Secret of Sahara, The Mummy, and Prince of Persia were filmed. We’ll stop on the way to visit the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou before continuing   with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet, and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Dinner and night in Riad.

Day 9 : Marrakech \ Cultural Visit.

After breakfast, all day will be devoted to visiting Marrakech, the “Pearl of the South,” founded in the eleventh century. With a morning visit to the Koutoubia, the Saadian tombs, the garden of the Menara and Bahia Palace. Then we go back to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Souks, the Medina and Jemaa El-Fnaa square. In the evening, Dinner in Jemaa El-Fnaa.

Day 10 : Marrakech To Ourika Valley.

After breakfast we will take a tour of Ourika Valley and see the Berber villages on top of green hills and red mountains. With a possibility to visit a Berber house to learn how we make green tea! It is advised to wear your hiking shoes because there are small waterfalls to climb at the footsteps of the High Atlas Mountains.

Day 11 : Marrakech To Essaouira.

Departure at 9:00 from your hotel towards the Atlantic coast, through Ounagha, and onwards to the city of Essaouira, located 170 km from the Red City of Marrakech. We will have lunch on the harbor, then free time to explore the medina and the ancient monuments, Mellah (Jewish quarter), the Skala, and Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah Museum. Finally we recommend you watch the beautiful sunset and enjoy a Mojito on the terrace of Taraus Coffee, and see some of Essaouira’s famous Thuya wood crafts. Dinner and night can be spent in the hotel or Riad in the medina.

Day 12 : Essaouira To Marrakech.

We will spend the morning in Essaouira relaxing, with a peaceful walk before leaving to Marrakech with dinner and the night spent in a hotel.

Day 13 : Marrakech To Casablanca.

Breakfast and transfer from Casablanca to the airport according to flight schedule.
