5 Days Desert Tour
From Marrakesh To Fez

Day 1 : Marrakesh \ Tizi-N-Tishka \ Ait Benhaddou \ Ouarzazate \ Dades Valley \ Gorges. 

We will pick up you from your hotel/riad and then start our journey from Marrakech to Dades Gorges. We will cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass (2260m asl) in the High Atlas Mountains, where you will see far-reaching views across the mountains. We continue onward to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and then continue to  the spectacular fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will stop for lunch at either Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate and then continue to Dades Valley. We will spend the night in a riad/hotel in Dades Gorges.

Day 2 : Dades Gorges \ Tenghir \ Todra Gorges \ Tinjdad \ Erfoud Rissani \ Merzouga.

After breakfast, we go from Dades Gorges to Toudra Gorges, Tenghir and then to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga,. Berber villages are scattered along the way.  We will pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud where we will feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. We continue on to Merzouga were we will spend the night in a riad/hotel.

Day 3 : Merzouga \ Erg Chebbi \ Nomads \ Merzouga.

We are in the desert! After a hearty and delicious breakfast, we will drive around the Great Dune of Morocco, Erg Chebbi which is over 250 meters high. We will stop at the oasis of Tissardmin and then follow a route to a nomad settlement where we will learn some of the secrets of the desert life and customs. Next, we arrive at a viewpoint where we can take in the whole dune of Erg Chebbi. Onward to our next stop in the town of Khamlia, where the residents are originally from Mali, Here, we will relax with a cup of tea while enjoying a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa. Afterwards, we return to the Merzouga, where we will have lunch, and then go to meet our camels. We will ride in our caravan of camels for about 1 hour until we reach our camp. Relax over a delicious glass of mint tea and then we will go climb the big dune to feel the peace of the desert. Tonight, we sleep in a haima under a blanket of stars in the heart of the desert.

Day 4 : Merzouga Via Erfoud \ Errachidia \ Ziz Valley \ Midelt (280km).

We continue towards Midelt, a mountain town set next to an ancient kasbah. Located 1500m high, it is the main stop between the High and the Middle Atlas. Dinner and night in Midelt or nearby in a hotel.

Day 5 : Midelt To Fez Via Zaida \ Timahdit \ Azrou \ Ifran (230km).

Departure for Fez via the villages of Zaida and Timahdit. Then we will head toward Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest.  Next we will stop in Ifrane, a quaint town known as the Switzerland of Morocco. Dinner and night in Fez.
